In life every factor is important, as is every event, issue or problem. But there are certain priorities that are not just an event or up-and-downs, they are key to my life, my childhood and my future.
This project was about designing a collage with four different materials, including magazine cut outs, pictures, drawings etc. The collage had to include things that are special to us.
In this collage I have gathered only a few of the many things that are important for me and that I like. In the center of the collage there is a picture of my brother and I. This picture expresses the love I have for my brother, that he is the center of my world and that everything around the collage are things I have lived with him or what he has taught me. My brother is the major influence in my life. As my role model, I leaned and copied everything from him, like his music taste, and t.v taste. My brother has influenced significantly in those aspects since I like The Strokes, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dr. House and Law Abiding Citizen. The Dartmouth College logo expresses how much I admire him as a brother and in his academic success. The picture on the bottom left is a picture from my brother´s graduation and it shows how much I loved his party and the time I got to spend with him. The Harry Potter icon is there since I always remember reading those books along with my brother and going to the movie premieres together.
But apart from the crucial influence my brother has on my everyday life, I am also hugely influenced by my little brother. My little brother is the soul of the family. The picture at the bottom right shows how much he makes us laugh and the way he makes our family bonds stronger.
The picture of Elvis Presley shows also how my little brother has influenced my music taste, since he loves Elvis too. The drawing of Purina symbolizes our dog which we take care of together.
Furthermore, I have my friends in my collage because they are my family as well, with whom I live and share my whole school experience 24/7. I also have a turning wheel which reminds me of the trip my friends and I are planing to take to Vegas and how tight we are.
I also have Dr. Seuss in my collage which shows how much I wish to be like my brother, since Dr. Seuss is an ex-alumn of Dartmouth College.
All in all, this collage expresses in detail how important family is in my life.
